Jerry’s style is about creating images that uniquely depict nature, environmental issues, and people in the outdoors. His clients include a long list of non-profit, editorial, and commercial businesses. For more than ten years he and his wife Marcy have spent much of their time exploring the wild places of New England and beyond, capturing the essence of these special places with words and photographs. They hope that their work will in some way deepen people's appreciation for the wild places in this world and inspire them to help protect those places that are in trouble. They use Nikon 35mm cameras, a Pentax 67 medium format camera, and Fuji and Kodak transparency films. Attendees will photograph the hidden coves and harbors of Down East Maine, including Stonington and Castine. Jerry knows this area well. He’ll guide an exploratory to shoot rocky coastal landscapes and Maine fog-forest scenes in local wilderness preserves. All levels of ability and all camera formats (film and digital) are welcome. Class size: 6-8 students. Level: Beginner to intermediate. Please call the Oakland House for your all inclusive rate and reservation.
