Arrive Sunday, July 8th; Depart Friday, July 13th, 2007.
- Sunday
Night:
Get acquainted Dinner at Oakland House Restaurant. Preview of "landscape
composition and close up techniques."
- Monday Class sessions:
Boat trip to isolated island preserve off shore. Must be flexible on this weather
pending.
- Tuesday Class
sessions:
"Digital darkroom for nature photographers" lecture which will be of interest to both film and digital photographers. Views of a working harbor, Stonington, The Tennis Preserve, Classic Maine ledges and coves.
- Wednesday Class
sessions:
Critique in morning, strategy setting. The classic architecture of Castine in the afternoon.
- Thursday Class
sessions:
Print critique in morning. Fresh Pond at Holbrook Island Sanctuary, Brooksville. Dinner this evening will be a beach lobster picnic held at 6:00 PM on the Oakland House ocean beach (weather permitting).
- Friday morning:
Print critique. Reversing Falls, Blue Hill.
All camera formats (film and digital) are welcome.
Class size: 6-8 students.
Level: Beginner to intermediate.
Cost: Rates include instruction fees, all meals, boat trip, and accommodations in Shore Oaks Seaside Inn, Acorn Cottage, or Cottages for two or more people are available ranging from $955 to $1738. This includes a lobster picnic on the beach Thursday evening. Does not include photographic supplies, processing, driver charges to lab., or alcoholic beverages.
Note:
Arrivals after 4:00 PM. Checkout by 11:00 AM, though workshop attendees
will have a box lunch on departure day and be welcome to stay on site
into the afternoon.
